PDLC Film

PDLC (Polymer Dispersed Liquid Crystal) film is a smart technology that enables glass to switch between transparent and opaque states using an electric current to align liquid crystals within the film. How it works.

PDLC technology relies on liquid crystals embedded in a polymer matrix between two conductive layers. When an electric current is applied, the liquid crystals align, allowing light to pass through and making the glass appear transparent. When the current is turned off, the crystals scatter, diffusing light and rendering the glass opaque. This switchable effect provides instant privacy or visibility, depending on the electrical state, offering flexible control over the glass’s transparency.
